David speaks to those at the grant awarding event held at City Hall in San Francisco. David serves as Coordinator of Science Programs and Manager of the Schreder Planetarium located at the Shasta County Office of Education in Redding. David received a grant award of $48,000 from the California Giving Program for his concept of science learning kits and educational programming on our star, the Sun, for school age children and teachers. The program is intended to increase student awareness, motivation and literacy in the areas of Space Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM's) and bolster hands-on-learning in science for rural Northern California schools.
